Cardiologist (Heart Specialist) – Interventional Cardiologist & Endovascular Specialist

Dr. Mohammad Chaudhry founded Heart Point in September 2022. He has expertise in cardiology and vascular disease, and offers a full range of care, from medical management to advanced interventional and endovascular procedures.

Dr. Chaudhry graduated from Ayub Medical College in Pakistan and moved to the United States in 2005 to pursue his goal of becoming a cardiologist. He completed his internal medicine residency at Long Island College Hospital in New York, where he was later appointed Chief Resident, then went on to complete a cardiology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Beth Israel Medical Center and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, both in New York.

Dr. Chaudhry provides a broad range of services. He is an expert in the management of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, abnormal heart rhythms, heart attack, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, venous insufficiency, circulation issues and many other various conditions related to heart and vascular disease.

Dr. Chaudhry is affiliated with Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital Plano, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen and Medical City Plano.

Dr. Chaudhry is married and has been blessed with four children. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing cricket, badminton, and cycling. In his free time, he volunteers at various community-based health clinics.

Education

Dr. Chaudhry earned his medical degree from Ayub Medical College in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in 1999, then moved to the United States in 2005 to pursue his goal of becoming a cardiologist. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Long Island College Hospital in New York, where he was later appointed Chief Resident.

Professional Experience

  • Joined Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas, as an invasive cardiologist and Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology.
  • Served as Clinical Assistant Professor and a core faculty member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program shared with UT Health Science Center at Tyler.
  • Returned to UT Health Science Center at Tyler as an interventional cardiologist after completing his interventional cardiology fellowship.
  • Served as Director of Coronary and Endovascular Intervention and Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory until 2022.

  • Founded Heart Point in Allen, Texas, in September 2022.
  • Treats coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular disease, peripheral vascular disease, and venous insufficiency.
  • Uses both non-invasive diagnostics and minimally invasive procedures.
